With 42,758 different color schemes, you will be able to completely customize your radio to your personal ham-shack preferences!<\/p>\n The X-Series Radios operate as ‘multiple radios’ in one, with either 144 MHz, *220MHz, *350MHz, or 430 MHz as the “Main” TX\/RX band, while simultaneously watching up to 3 other frequencies or channels; and, if you like, you can configure your X Series Radio for simultaneous VHF-VHF or UHF-UHF operation, too<\/p>\n The X-Series Update introduces the option to configure the LCD to display both a channel’s alphanumeric name and its frequency. When enabled this allows you to simultaneously display two channel’s names and their frequencies. With only a glance at your LCD, you now can have all or your repeater’s information – without any toggling or button presses.<\/p>\n The X-Series Update also introduces editable channels. Once a channel’s frequency is stored; the new X-Series Update allows you to modify all the channel’s advanced settings after programming; this includes tones, squelch, signaling, power, scanning, and more. You will never need to delete and reprogram a channel just to adjust its power or tone settings.<\/p>\n Have you wanted to reply to an active channel that was scanning only to have to enable scanning after your conversation is over? The X-Series Update includes new scanning resume methods – including resuming scanning after a transmission. Other resume methods include resuming scanning automatically, after a reboot, or power loss! Changing the Scanning methods is as easy as changing one option in the radio’s on-screen menu.<\/p>\n While in frequency mode, the X-Series update allows you to enter in a specific frequency range to scan. You no longer are required to edit the VFO range through a computer or are forced to scan the whole band when you only what to scan a small portion the band. You can edit both the frequency range and frequency interval that you prefer on the on screen menu.<\/p>\n The X-Series Radios can respond to remote commands. By remotely sending DTMF tones you can both ‘Stun’ (Transmit Disable) or ‘Kill’ (Disables all functions) the X-Series Mobiles. You also can ‘Revive’ a X-Series Mobile from its “stunned” or “killed” state. You can also remotely turn on the microphone through ‘Monitor’; or ensure the radio is within range by using ‘Inspect’ (replies with a confirmation tone when it is within range).<\/p>\n The X-Series Mobiles are supported on a ‘Day One’ Release on CHIRP.
