BTECH has announced today the release of the Nagoya UT-72G, a dual-band magnet mount antenna with over 3.5 dBi of gain and measures 20 inches. The UT-72G is specifically designed for GMRS use. The Nagoya UT-72G comes equipped with the UT-72G antenna, SMA female adapter, SMA male adapter, and uses a standard UHF (PL-259) connector. The SMA female adapter allows the antenna to be compatible with BTECH radios such as the GMRS-V1<\/a>. The SMA male adapter can be used for compatibility with other brands of GMRS radio including Baofeng, Radioddity, and Retevis. The UHF connector allows for the Nagoya UT-72G to work with base and mobile GMRS Radios, most notably our GMRS-50X1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

How to use<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Nagoya UT-72G is omni-directional and uses a very tightly wrapped loading coil which increases GMRS reception and range. Most importantly, however, the Nagoya UT-72G is easy to use and install with either your mobile or handheld radio. Because the antenna is weatherproof, the magnetic mounting base included allows you to use the antenna on your vehicle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mounting the antenna on a steel body car will serve to improve your signal. The Nagoya UT-72G is 2.5mm thick compared to the typical 1.5mm antennas found on most vehicle magnetic mounts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

If you choose to use the antenna with your handheld radio, the RG316 SMA jumper included makes that an easy option. The jumper has been tested at the perfect length to resist line loss thus ensuring the maximum performance from your radio.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
