Universal Radio Compatibility & Adaptive Amplification

The BTECH amplifier stands out for its exceptional ability to work with an extensive range of radio brands, made possible by a simple, direct connection to the SMA jack. This feature ensures that no matter the make of your handheld radio, if it's equipped with an SMA connection, it will integrate effortlessly with our amplifier. We've included connectors for both SMA male and female configurations to accommodate the majority of radios right out of the box. For radios with different connectors, the amplifier remains compatible as long as you have the appropriate RF adapters to convert to the SMA standard.

Adaptive Output Power

Our amplifier is designed to adapt its output power based on the input it receives, optimizing performance across a range of 2W to 6W inputs. At the lower end, an input of 2W is amplified to produce an output of approximately 20W. As the input power increases, so does the output, reaching its peak efficiency with a 6W input, which yields an impressive output of around 40W in the center of the band. On average, users can expect 30W output, providing a substantial boost to transmission power. It's important to note that while the amplifier can accept up to 10W of input power, amplification levels plateau after 6W, ensuring device safety and longevity without further increasing output.

Optimized Signal Clarity

At the core of our amplifier's design are sophisticated harmonic filters on the input stage, crafted to ensure the transmission of a notably cleaner and more refined output signal. This exceptional engineering prowess enables the amplifier to consistently deliver an output that is not just amplified, but also purer and of higher quality than the signal received from your handheld radio. Whether in routine communications or critical operations, the amplifier stands out by enhancing signal clarity and reducing unwanted noise, setting a new standard for audio purity in amplified transmissions

Explore the Versatility of the BTECH Amplifier with Three Distinct Amplification Modes

Radio-Controlled Mode

For direct and straightforward use, connect your handheld radio directly to the AMP. Simply link the antenna output of your radio to the amplifier's RF-IN connector using the provided Radio to Amplifier RF cable. This setup allows you to continue using your handheld radio as usual, but with the added advantage of amplified output signals. It's the ideal choice for users seeking amplified performance without changing their existing radio operation habits.

Accessory-Controlled Mode

Enhance your radio's functionality with external accessories. In this mode, you can connect a speaker microphone, headset, or any compatible accessory directly to your handheld radio. The amplifier still boosts your signal, but control is through the connected accessory, offering a hands-free communication experience. This mode is perfect for users who require amplified communication while needing to keep their hands free for other tasks.

Amplifier-Controlled Mode

For a fully integrated experience, use your amplifier as the central control hub. Connect your handheld radio to the amplifier as in Radio-Controlled Mode, then link a speaker microphone to the amplifier's MIC jack. Additionally, connect the accessory port of your radio to the amplifier's Control jack using the Amplifier Control Cable. This setup allows you to manage transmissions through the amplifier, utilizing its built-in speaker for louder, clearer incoming audio. This mode is best suited for stationary setups where the amplifier's features can be fully utilized.

Bought a U25D from Amazon, I have been a bit critical of Baofeng/BTECH in the past, but this little amp
works great and is very clean on DMR & C4FM. 1W on your HT gets about 14W out of the amp. Be cognizant
of RF input limit of 6W, I briefly tested mine with 10W in once for 2-3 seconds, 46W out but if you overdrive
it, it could fail instantly (NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY). Well worth the investment of $150-ish IMHO.

    BTECH AMP-V25D Review.
FCC ID: 2AGND-AMP-V This amplifier is FCC certified Part 90.
This is BTECHs VHF amplifier with DMR capability.
This amplifier allows someone with a handheld radio to transmit at higher power. There are three ways to connect a handheld radio to the amplifier. The amplifier has a built in speaker as well as a supplied hand microphone. This allows flexibility in operation. The radio’s volume control controls the speaker. Audio levels are sufficient. Transmit audio with the included microphone is good.
The amplifier includes a power cable with a cig lighter plug, so it must not draw much current, even at higher power. The manual does not provide specifications.
    Power output is great:
    Advertised Power Output: 20-40 Watts
Measured maximum Output power (Into dummy load):44 Watts with 5 watt input.
All in all a good device. I’m happy with it.

I’m using the UHF and VHF models with analog and digital. They work flawlessly and have been on in my ham shack for more than a year with no issues or failures.

I love it. Works as intended. I only have one complaint. It would be nice if they had a bypass switch so that I could still use the mic and internal speaker, but bypass the amp so I can transmit on a different band than the amp is intended for, with only the power of the handy talkie. Is this something that could be done?
