I received this unit yesterday and have a very good initial impression. Well packaged and sturdy construction. Small size and light weight for various installations. Measured 1.62-watt input from HT and 46.2 watts output to antenna system. Measured 4.2 watts in and 59.6 watts out from AT-578 mobile radio. Pleasantly surprised by sound quality and volume from the amp’s internal speaker. Just what I was looking for since a 1.25-meter capable radio with more than 5 watts output power is hard to find. I initially purchased this to use my triband HT to reach the repeater 20 miles away from home. I am already considering another to mount in my truck and get a better range for the 220 while mobile.
