These are great, long-lasting batteries. They increase the overall size of the radio but gives you more space to “grip” without accidentally pressing buttons. I love the fact that these are embossed with John 14:6 on them. Bravo Zulu Baofeng Tech.

Hi, I have not purchased the extended battery from Baofeng. I do plan on buying one in the near future. I did purchase one from a third party and it did not last very long. When I dropped the battery it broke open and all I found was a plain battery with out all the special circuits protections. In conclusion I have learned my lesson and will buy from the manufacture. Thank you

I’m using this double capacity battery with a BTech GMRS V2 handheld.The BL-8L 3600mAh is a fine enhanced replacement battery. I’ve confirmed several times it does have double the power storage & talk runtime.
It fits properly on the radio, giving the appearance of being the original design.
Although it makes the radio a little taller, I soon learned I did not mind. I even clip the slightly heavier radio to my elastic banded shorts and there is no shifting, even when I walk briskly.
It seats in the stock charging cradle the same as the 1800mAh original, so manufacturing assured good quality control.
It also features the added convenience of a USB-C jack as another way to re-charge.

When I first purchased my radio the comment to me was I was talking to loud.
I had used 10 other devices in the last 10 years and each one either died or was lost. This radio I use on my railroad and it is big enough so that it is never lost and it holds a charge for several days.
