GMRS-V1 GMRS Handheld Radio
The GMRS-V1 is a GMRS handheld radio compatible with all brands of FRS and GMRS radios. It is also compatible with GMRS repeaters. Channels are wideband and narrowband compatible. The GMRS-V1 is also a VHF and UHF scanning receiver capable to add additional channels for receive only (such as NOAA weather and other channels of interest). The GMRS-V1 is the best and most capable GMRS handheld radio available!

Channel List Overview
GMRS channels are setup in the standardized FRS/GMRS flow. Channels 1-22 are non-repeater channels coordinating with the GMRS channel list and channels 23-30 are GMRS repeater channels.

Highlighted Features and Functions
[Privacy Tones] You can mix and match tones for repeater usage. The GMRS-V1 will save any modification to the channel (even during a reboot) and will remember any channel change you apply in any mode. All CTCSS and DCS tones are supported.
[Dual Monitor and Synchronized Display] You can configure the GMRS-V1 radio to watch two channels simultaneously. The two channels can use the independent PTT side-keys for the corresponding channel. If you want to simplify operation of the radio: You can synchronize the side-keys and display to use a single channel.
[FM, NOAA, and Scanner] The GMRS-V1 has a built in FM radio along with the ability to store VHF and UHF scanner channels. This means while talking on GMRS – you can still monitor other channels on VHF or UHF including the NOAA weather bands.
[Keypad Lockout] A simply press of the keypad can prevent accidental channel changes

The GMRS-V1 is FCC certified (Part 95A) for use on GMRS frequencies. The GMRS-V1 is also FCC certified for VHF/UHF scanning capabilities (Part 15B)
The GMRS-V1 is easy and straight forward to use. The GMRS-V1 comes with GMRS two-way and GMRS repeater channels pre-programmed. You can easily modify the GMRS-V1 to transmit a Privacy tone, right from the radio menu. You can even require a privacy tone for incoming transmissions. You can mix and match tones for repeater usage. The GMRS-V1 will save any modification to the channel (even during a reboot) and will remember any channel change you apply in any mode.
Want to communicate with other GMRS users with other brand GMRS radios? There is no guesswork involved anymore between brands. The GMRS-V1 can work with any GMRS radio – and has every single privacy tone option available (more than any other GMRS radio). Even if other users don’t know which privacy tone is being used on their GMRS radio; you are able to scan for which tone is being used. This ensures easy compatibility with all brands.
GMRS frequencies and offsets cannot be altered to allow peace of mind while using your GMRS-V1. Want to start from scratch? A simple reset menu option resets the GMRS-V1 to the GMRS-V1 defaults.
*** GMRS license required, easy to obtain (SAME DAY). The GMRS-V1 operates on GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) frequencies, which require an FCC (Federal Communications Commission) license. You must be licensed prior to transmitting.

I have just purchased two of the BTech GMRS V1 radios. With the antenna that came on the radios I was able to get a couple miles range out of them .very impressed. Next my first radio I received the charger didn’t work . I sent a email to BTECH and by the time I received the second radio I got a new charger. Thanks

Great radio absolutely love it. Easy to use and program. I did upgrade the antenna to the NA701C which greatly improved transmission and receive capabilities. I do own the NA771 that this website recommends to purchase with the radio and doing comparison I would highly recommend going with the NA701C. The NA771 would be a better choice if you were doing 2m and 70cm.

Nice little radios but they are only 2 watts. GMRS are allowed as much as 50 watts so at least 5 watts would have been nice
