MURS is a two-way license-free radio service for personal or business activities. MURS can transmit farther in open areas compared to traditional FRS walkie talkies
The MURS-V1 is a MURS handheld radio compatible with all brands of MURS Radios. The MURS-V1 is a license-free two-way radio.
MURS channels do not share the same channels used by common walkie talkies or the store bought children’s radios (FRS/GMRS). Without this interference it is perfect for business and commercial applications (or for recreational users who just want more privacy). The MURS-V1 is the best MURS handheld radio available!

Easy to Use - No License Required
The MURS-V1 is easy and straight forward to use. The MURS-V1 comes with 3 banks of the 5 MURS two-way channels pre-programmed (allowing shared frequencies separated by tones for different departments or users). You can easily modify the MURS-V1 to use Privacy tones, right from the radio menu. The MURS-V1 will save any modification to the channel and will keep any channel change you apply.

[Dual Monitor and Synchronized Display] You can configure the MURS-V1 radio to watch two channels simultaneously. The two channels can use the independent PTT side-keys for the corresponding channel. If you want to simplify operation of the radio: You can synchronize the side-keys and display to use a single channel.

With the ability to change antennas, I have talked over 6 miles with this two watt radio, enough for use between campers, hunters, camp staff, and any other outdoor activity. Being able to change CTCSS and DC1 codes makes it great for groups seeking to hear only their members.
