Firmware V1.0003 Update Highlights
This update brings several key enhancements to your GMRS-RPT50 repeater:
1. Typo Corrections in Menu Names
We’ve fixed various typos in the menu names to ensure better clarity and ease of use.
2. Extended CW Interval Times
We’ve added 15 minutes to the Continuous Wave (CW) Interval times to match FCC requirements for GMRS identification timelines providing more flexibility in your operations.
3. CTCSS/DCS with CW ID
You now have the option to enable or disable Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System (CTCSS) and Digital-Coded Squelch (DCS) when using CW Identification. This feature offers greater control over your squelch settings during identification transmissions.
4. Courtesy Tone Option
We’ve added a new courtesy tone option, which provides an audible indication at the end of transmissions. This feature enhances communication flow and ensures smooth transitions between users.

I love the courtesy tone option being added! The menu items were a bit confusing as well. Do we have an estimate on when the network ports will become usable?

These are very good updates to firmware. I had been thinking of these items / issues when I bought my repeater. I’m really glad that BoafengTech is responsive to keeping this repeater model well updated.
I won’t reveal YouTube Channel, but according to the source, The DTMF MIC can only be used for programming the repeater and using as a base.
Yes, that also is in the documentation and advertising as well – at this time the DTMF keypad is for interfacing not for using the repeater as a base (which can subsequently easily be done by simply triggering any HT to it)
Question on the ID morse.. set for every 15 minutes, is it supposed to transmit every 15 minutes regardless if the system is idle? or is it triggered by activity?
