Tuesday, April 1, 2025
ARLINGTON, SD – BTECH is pleased to announce a minor firmware update for the DMR-6X2 and DMR-6X2 PRO, addressing several bugs to ensure optimal performance and a smoother user experience. While this update does not introduce new features, it reinforces our commitment to delivering reliable and refined products to our community. We understand that every improvement, no matter how minor, can have a big impact on your day-to-day operation. Our team has meticulously reviewed your feedback and tested every scenario to ensure that this update provides a more seamless and stable experience for both the DMR-6X2 and DMR-6X2 PRO. These refinements, though subtle, reflect our unwavering commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Minor Bug Fixes for a Smoother Operation
This update focuses on resolving key issues that have been identified through user feedback:
- Runtime Error 11 Resolution: A runtime error that occurred when disabling CTCSS Dec in Satellite Download mode has been fixed. Users can now disable CTCSS DECODE prior to uploading their codeplug, ensuring Satellite RX operates as intended.
- APRS Highlight Correction: The blue bar highlight in the APRS menu now scrolls correctly, enhancing navigation and overall usability.
- Call Alert Setting Persistence: An issue where the “Call Alert” option (Optional Setting > Alert Tone) would revert from “off” to “Ring” after saving has been corrected. The setting now remains as chosen.
- Voice Header Repetitions Accuracy: The update also ensures that the “Voice Header Repetitions” value is accurately uploaded, eliminating the need for manual adjustments on the radio.
