New Release – BTECH GMRS-20V2

BTECH is proud to announce the release of the GMRS-20V2! It is the most versatile waterproof GMRS mini mobile radio available. Equipped with the ground breaking second generation GMRS firmware features found in our GMRS-V2, the GMRS-20V2 takes those features inside a compact 20W submersible mobile radio.  Arrange, modify, and use the 200 completely programmable channels as GMRS, NOAA, or Scanner channels. There is nothing fixed preventing you from arranging your channel memories the way that works best for you! This mid-powered GMRS mobile is compatible with all FRS/GMRS radios and each of their unique tones, giving you your choice of over 11,800 channel combinations.

With a max output power of 20W, the GMRS-20V2 uses a standard UHF antenna connector (SO-239), so you can connect it to any GMRS antenna with PL-259. The GMRS-20V2 can also be quickly mounted with our vehicle antenna, such as the Nagoya UT-72G for GMRS use.

Whether you want to monitor one channel or three channels simultaneously, you can customize your GMRS-20V2 with it’s tri-watch display however you like with the display sync mode.

Built Tough

The GMRS-20V2 is dirt and waterproof with an IP67 rating, so regardless of the elements you’ll be prepared. Mud, snow, rain, or shine — feel free to use your GMRS-20V2 radio. The GMRS-20V2 is fully submersible and protected no matter where you mount the radio. The GMRS-20V2 is a perfect companion for UTV, ATV, motorcycles and in other situations where a radio might need the extra protection!

A Future with Many Accessories

The GMRS-20V2 has a built in FM Radio, that allows you to simultaneously monitor all three GMRS channels, as they will interrupt the FM radio if a transmission is received.  The SOS alarm mode that allows both onsite and broadcasted alarm modes. Quickly toggle to hear your local NOAA broadcast and alerts without any additional programming.

While the GMRS-20V2 is ready to use out of the box, it can be further programmed with CHIRP.  This gives you full control of channel names, boot up names and more so you can create a radio template to copy to all of your radios; you can also manually assign channel names without a computer required.

The WP02 accessory mic (not included) allows for a longer cable installations as well as adapting 2 Pin Kenwood K1 accessories with our mobile line. The WP02 is schedule to release this fall.

    So are the 200 channels programmable and what is the frequency split?

      All 200 channels can be set with GMRS or scanner channels. When saving a repeater channel, the repeater offset of 5MHz is used.
