A Full Duplex 50 Watt Tri-Band Radio from BTECH is Released
BaoFeng Tech announced today the release of the BTECH UV-50X3 (https://baofengtech.com/uv-50×3), the first available full duplex, tri-band radio with an extended receiver range. The UV-50X3 combines some of the most requested features into one complete radio making it the perfect radio for both base and mobile users alike.
The UV-50X3 was subjected to some of the harshest environments during its evolution – including sub-zero temperatures and the extreme heat exceeding 130 degrees. In both extreme environments it was put through thorough QSOs to ensure that it would not fail when communication matters most.
The UV-50X3 has a wide-band receiver capable of receiving AM radio, FM radio, AM Air-Traffic reception, and more (see product specifications). It also has our first built in VHF-UHF cross-band repeater included which allows you to easily connect or extend other repeaters, mobiles, or handheld radios. The UV-50X3 has the ability to transmit with full power (50 watts) on UHF and VHF and it will transmit with 5 watts on 220MHz.
The First Radio to be Solely Programmable through CHIRP Software
The UV-50X3 is completely programmable using CHIRP. This means for the hundreds of radios already supported through CHIRP – you can easily import your radio data from your previous handheld or mobile radio right into the UV-50X3, which makes it that much easier to program. What makes CHIRP support unique on the UV-50X3, is that CHIRP is the sole software option for the UV-50X3 on a ‘Day One’ release.
A Radio that is Unique to Your Needs
The UV-50X3 has an edge when it comes to speakers, microphones, and mounting. With three built-in speakers and a line-out audio jack, the UV-50X3 can be configured to send your received audio into any setting, room, or vehicle that it may be used in.
The UV-50X3 has 2 Microphone Jacks and an additional Built-In Microphone which easily allows you the flexibility to configure where your microphone is located and the way you want to communicate.
The UV-50X3 has a separated user display panel – that can be extended from the receiving base using standard Ethernet Cable. You can easily mount the panel to a desk or vehicle dashboard with the included suction mount kit, or the panel can be more permanently by attaching with screws to your preferred surface.
